4th LTTA "Digital Citizenship" - Press Release

  • Aim of the meeting: The aim of this visit was to share and introduce best practices in terms of Digital active citizenship in France.

  • The agenda (short description) and the speakers/facilitators of the meeting:

The study visit in Paris started on the 11th of April with all participants meeting in the Palais Royal and Opéra Garnier neighbourhood of Paris for the digital treasure hunt activity. This activity lasted around 2 hours and contented all the participants as well 4 members from E-Juniors association. This first day ended with the common meal with all partnership.

On the second day, on the 12th of April, two staff members from E-Juniors association (EJU) welcomed all participants in their premises in Paris. First of all, the agenda was presented to the participants with further discussion on the working days. After that, all participants had an opportunity to play a quiz Khaoot on European citizenship and value. Afterwards, an external facilitator came and presented the e-Protect project that aims at consumer and data protection platform for older and younger users: https://eprotect-project.eu/

Finally, the morning session was closed with the presentation of Planet B EU funded project that uses Digital Breakouts to build knowledge on climate change for younger generations. An external presenter came and carried out the debate session on how youth can influence the climate change issues nowadays.

In the afternoon, the partnership visited a digital and immersive experience called Atelier des Lumieres that drowned them in the world of Cézanne and Kandinsky painters in the very heart of Paris. The day was closed by the visit of the Marais neighbourhood and the social dinner in Paris.

The third and the last day of the visit on the 13th of April was dedicated to the evaluation and feedback exchange. This was also an opportunity to discuss about next study visit in Porto as well the long LTTA.

  • What was discussed during the meeting and taken decisions:

- Upcoming LTTAs: Porto between 3rd and 5th of May and also long LTTA in Portugal.

- Discussion on active citizenship exchange practices available in partner countries.

- Evaluation of the study visit.
