Testimonies
“I really liked the idea of this project because it raises awareness of the ancient games of different territories and the importance of transmitting the values of effort, perseverance, respect for oneself and one's opponents, and the rules of the game. All these actions help to develop the personality of young people and help them to have a better relationship with the rest of the community.”
“I really enjoyed interviewing older people, listening to their experiences when they went to the Olympics and learning from them. I liked hearing that canoeing has helped them to stand up for themselves, to get out of difficult situations on their own and to fight to achieve their own goals.”
“This game, like the other traditional sport games, develops communication skills, decision making, creativity and respect for agreed rules and for peers.
It is a space where conflicts can arise and where conflict resolution skills can be developed to improve coexistence and achieve the objective, which in this case is to win or get the prize.”
“I was pleased to learn about this game, I didn't know about it. It's fun and can be played anywhere. And I also liked it because you can agree the rules of the game with the other players, and it can be played individually or in teams.”
